Albuquerque trainings to focus on public health

Understand the critical role of public health today.  Learn how to make a public health impact through your work.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., August 27th, 2012 – The Public Health Learning Collaborative Presents: Introduction to Public Health, taught by professors from University of NM and NM State University Public Health programs.

Topics will include:

Public health core functions and essential services
Health disparities
Culture and health
Public health programs and infrastructure

What: Free trainings for community members and professional on public health

Where:  NMSU Albuquerque Center, Room 202, 4501 Indian School NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico

When:  September 5th and 25th, 9am – 4pm

 Who:  New Mexico Public Health Learning Collaborative, a joint project of the NM Department of Health, UNM, and NMSU
